Lodging around the clock tower is especially convenient for sightseeing and shopping, with a good choice of accommodation being just a short stroll away from Jodhpur's magnificent Mehrangarh fortress. However, this is an especially busy part of the city and if you are looking for hotels in a quieter neighbourhood, then consider the area around Navchokiya.
Budget travellers holidaying in Jodhpur will find plenty of accommodation to fit the bill. The family run Singhvi's Haveli on the Ramdevji ka Chowk, in the Navchokiya area, is one of the most popular hotels, with atmospheric guest rooms and a rooftop restaurant.
 Closer to the clock tower and central Jodhpur, the Shivam Paying Guest House is another excellent option and comes complete with tasty home-cooked food.
For a little more money, the accommodation on offer improves somewhat. The centrally located Pal Haveli on the Gubar Sagar is particularly charming, as is the rather elegant Newtons Manor Hotel on the Jawahar Colony, in the Ratanada area of Jodhpur. At the top end of the accommodation scale in Jodhpur is the Ajit Bhawan on the Airport Road, and the modern Taj Hari Mahal Palace on the Residency Road. Jodhpur's famous Umaid Bhawan Palace functions as a hotel, and its dramatic red-stone architecture is hard to miss, being topped by a towering cupola.
